PACKAGING PRODUCTION
REDEFINED
THE FUTURE
STARTS HERE
GPD Packaging revolutionises the packaging industry in Europe.

A state-of-the-art production plant is currently under construction on more than 6,5 hectares of land, located in Rinteln (northwest Germany). The facility will house revolutionary equipment for a wide range of packaging solutions in the food segment, especially for frozen products.

At the heart of the production line sits a manroland Varioman c:line web offset press of superlatives that specialises in cardboard packaging.

The Varioman’s impressive potential is further enhanced by its integration in a fully automated, process-optimised smart factory.

The new factory is directly attached to a logistics centre and benefits from an excellent connection to the motorway. That way, GPD can guarantee short transport routes and efficient handling of your products.

PACKAGING
TAKEN TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Packaging isn’t just cardboard. Or is it?
We don’t just want to think green; we want to act green. That is why GPD Food Packaging does its part to avoid plastics in the packaging industry. We strive to take conventional barriers from efficient, large scale coatings to ecologically degradable, product specific solutions.
Four phases to the ecological barrier:

Phase 1:

Phase 2:
Phase 3:

Phase 4:

Use of pre-coated cardboard as currently availble in the market place
Functional barriers in economical small series production
Development and subsequent application of biologically degradable barriers
Establishment of a dedicated production line for the application of functional and biologically degradable barriers
